Description

“Phra Vajira,” the symbol representing the royal name “Vajiravudh” of King Vajiravudh (King Rama VI), the founder of higher education in Thailand, is depicted against a background of atoms, symbolizing science, research, and innovation. The four electrons represent the unification of four organizations: the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Office of the Higher Education Commission, the National Research Council of Thailand, and the Thailand Research Fund, resulting in the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. The colors chosen are orange, purple, and yellow, each with its own symbolic meaning.

-Orange, the color associated with the birthday of His Majesty King Mongkut, King Rama IV, "the Father of Thai Science".

-Purple is the color associated with the birthday of King Vajiravudh, the founder of higher education in Thailand.

-Yellow is the color associated with the birthday of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the Great, "Father of Thai Technology," "Father of Thai Research," and "Father of Thai Innovation."
